West Town Farm, organicARTS and Love Local Food work with over 5000 people a year on a whole range of visits, projects and events. Here are some examples of what people say about our work.
Thanks so much for organising such a fantastic party for Jocelyn. She had a brilliant time and everyone took away lovely memories of the day. We will definitely be recommending you to lots of people!
Cat Rackham, Birthday Party (Led by Love Local Food)
The team at West Town Farm truly made our wedding day the special and memorable event that we wanted it to be. Sian was always available to discuss exactly what we wanted in the months leading up to the big day and most of the day was organised through her. The day itself was extremely laid back thanks in no small part to the efforts of the WWOOFers behind the scenes. Many of our guests commented that it was the most stress-free and fun wedding they had ever been to. Where else boasts a giant rainbow cow?
Will and Jamie, 2015 (Led by West Town Farm)
Getting to taste freshly squeezed juice using apples the children had collected themselves, tasting blackberries straight from the bush, getting pumpkins growing in a field first hand, having space to run and be free, feeding pigs, talking openly about what would happen to the animals, balance between safety & exploration, new experiences for most and many took ‘risks’ compared to behaviours at school.

Participant in Nature Walk (Led by organicARTS)
We been enjoying the welcome and freedom of a day a month at West Town Farm for the past few years. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere meets us at the gate, we feel at home here! During our visits we have a balance of autonomy and involvement with the farm which thoroughly suits our group. We sit around the fire in the orchard, singing and talking, climbing trees and picking berries. We join Andy in a farm based activity, from feeding the pigs, picking apples, planting trees, maintaining the paths in Chillies Copse to growing pumpkins. The farm is so accessible to everyone, it provides us with a space to explore the countryside within cycling distance of Exeter.
The Natural Learning Group, Families whose children learn through their life experiences (Led by West Town Farm)
It was inspirational and educational and we particularly loved the way you related to our residents and the way you engaged them. I saw the change in them when they realized that someone was actually taking time out to talk and to also give them some sense of achievement.
Exeter Foyer, Supported Housing Project for Young People (Led by Love Local Food)
Your approach – informal, light hearted, was pitched at the right level for the age group present Concluding the visit with a lovely hot drink, camp fire and a story was really enjoyable and ended the session in a great way.
